Privacy Policy
Witty Harbor (“we”, “us”) operates wittyharbor.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We keep it in plain English on purpose.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details: name, shipping address, billing address, email address and phone number.
- Personalisation content: any name, date or custom text you type into a product.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Marketing: your email address, if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address.
- Pages viewed, products clicked, time on site, and the site that referred you.
- Cookie identifiers (see section 5).
What we never see
We do not collect or store your full card number, expiry date or CVV. Card data goes directly to our payment provider.
2. How we use your information
- To produce, package and deliver your order, and to keep you updated about it.
- To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and claims.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive orders.
- To improve our products, product range and website.
- To send marketing emails — only if you have opted in, and only until you opt out.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the partners who make the store work:
- Print and fulfilment partners — to manufacture and pack your order.
- Shipping carriers — to deliver it and provide tracking.
- Payment providers — to take payment and issue refunds.
- Email and analytics providers — to send order notifications and understand site usage.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights.
4. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed to support warranty, accounting and tax obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept for up to 24 months.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the checkout will stop working if you do.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it.
- Object to, or restrict, certain kinds of processing.
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Our site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection and access to order data is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
8. Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is posted on this page.
